Constructing a Ceramic Tile Quilt
Using a ruler mark out and draw
25mm spaced grid lines over the face
of a 150mmx150mm terracotta
floor/wall tile using a grey lead pencil.
Transferring your Art Therapy
design onto tiles
The dots on the art therapy grid that
you used to do your design on
correspond to the grid points/lines
you have constructed onto your tile.
Copy the corresponding portion of
the design onto the tile using a ruler
and grey lead pencil.
Using the yellow lining tape
(provided), tape up the design
making sure the tape is centred over
the design lines.
Using a small blade trim off excess
tape making sure that you keep the
sharp corners in tact. Press the tape
firmly onto the tile making sure there
are no air bubbles and all edges are
pressed down.
You are now ready to glaze
your tile and take part in
the ceramic art therapy
interactment.
