Castlemaine Division 1 side came out all guns blazing in their match against North
Utd, they were looking for their first win @home this season, the mainers played a patient game
with the defence led by the Stoat and Leversha thwarting any attack Nth threw at them, going
forward Castlemaine looked threatening every time Angus MaC touched the ball, Tristan out on
the right was causing all sorts of trouble with his runs down the line and 25 minutes into the
first half the Rhino converted a finely worked set play. Half -time Castlemaine re-grouped and
were reminded by the coaches to stick to their game plan and keep their structure. North sent
wave after wave of attack at the steely maine defence, with jono , Angus C. Oscar and keeper
Tristan Evans holding the line well, with 25 minutes to play North converted a fine header from a
corner , this spurred the North players into action, but the danger was always going to be that
Castlemaine could score on the break, the mainers coaches put some fresh legs on up front
and reaped the benefits with 10 mins to play a sublime flick on from Squirrel which was neatly
controlled by Angus MaC and slotted home nicely into the bottom corne., Nth pushed on to try
and save the game which left them exposed for yet another breakaway by Angus MaC to score a
brace for the day - Great day at the office - final score 3-1 to Castlemaine
